An integral part of failure analysis is determining what forces and consequent stresses affect a part or machine. Finite element and classical stress analysis enables us to determine if the stresses in a part are from applied force (overload), or a parasitic force (eg. unbalance…) and compare them to the design criteria.
Validation
When the analysis results do not match the expected operating conditions, we look for modifying factors such as corrosion or residual stress.
Tools
We use Solidworks, ANSYS, and Cadre Pro for modeling structures and parts. We are able to model small parts to very large structures.
